Day 2 of the 30 Day Asian Drama Challenge. Today's question is kind of a long one.
What Asian Dramas are you watching right now?
I am currently
watching Monstar, Mischievous Kiss: Love
in Tokyo, I Can Hear Your Voice, City Hunter, and will be starting as soon as Mischievous Kiss is over It Started With A Kiss.
Monstar… why so cute?!
This drama may bump a
drama out of my Top 3 favorite Dramas. Please let this drama end well. It has
pushed all the right buttons for me. I love all the musical numbers and the
students seem like typical teenagers. Well, there is the idol boy, so not all
of them are typical, but I like that even if he is famous and “A Star” he still
is like every other teenage boy out there, insecurities and all. The bullies
make me a little crazy though. I think the actors are doing a great job of
playing the part of the bullies and kudos for them. My only problem is that…
well bullies in general make me crazy! *side rant* There is no reason for
anyone to be that mean and cruel to someone else.*end side rant* All around, I
love this show and I’m not sure what I am going to do with myself when it is
over.
Mischievous Kiss:
Love in Tokyo… My first Japanese drama.
I really enjoyed
Playful Kiss (I know not the best drama ever). I think that this story is cute.
So when I saw that Mischievous Kiss was going to be remade, I hopped right on
the bandwagon. Yes this drama has been a bit slow the last few episodes and I
wish there were just a bit more to them. That being said, it has still held my
attention the whole series. I think Kotoko is flipping cute. I love all her
crazy faces (See below). Naoki, well sometimes I want to kick him. Boys, I tell
ya. Kin, I didn’t like him very much to start out with but he has grown on my.
That poor boy, I am not looking forward to the heartbreak coming his way. And
the girl Naoki is playing around with right now, I hope that she finds someone
who will love her just as much as she loves them.
I Can Hear Your Voice…so
many feels!
I only started
watching this drama since dramabeans was giving it such
glowing reviews and well Lee Jong-Seok is just the cutest thing since those
training chopsticks. I wasn’t too sure if I would like the drama since the
concept didn’t really jump out at me. I am so glad that I gave it a chance
after reading the dramabean recaps. It isn’t as weird to me now that Su-Ha is
out of high school. He is an adult, a young adult, but still an adult. Can
anyone explain how the boy can look like a kicked puppy in the rain one minute
to well this? I do love that he
brings the best out of Hye-Sung. He pulls her out of her comfort zone and it
forces her to be just a better person.
City Hunter…can he
swoop in to save me?
I have seen this
drama at least 4 times through. I am re-watching it with my dongsaeng (it is
her first time). The first time I watched it I almost gave it up in the first
20 minutes. It just didn’t grab my attention. Boy, oh boy am I glad that I came
back and tried again. This show is defiantly one of my favorites. There is just
too much amazing stuff to say in this post. I will put this show on my to-do
list for review and possibly recaps.
